The hearing of the intra-court appeal against the NAB amendment decision will be held on Tuesday
The intra-court appeal
filed by the federal government against the NAB amendment decision in the
Supreme Court was fixed for hearing.
A 5-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa
will hear the appeal on Tuesday, Justice Aminuddin, Justice Jamal Khan, Justice
Athar Manullah, Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi will be part of the larger bench. The
Supreme Court issued notices to the trial lawyers on the government's appeal.
It should be noted that the former Chief Justice Umar Atta
Bandial had declared null and void the NAB amendments approved by the
Parliament, after which the cases of dozens of politicians, including the
former President and 6 former Prime Ministers, were again sent to the
accountability courts.
