A big drop in the price of wheat is expected
69 lakh 34 thousand tons of
reserves of wheat in the country, the possibility of further reduction in price
has been revealed.
According to the details, the Ministry of Food Security and
Research has said that there are abundant reserves of wheat in the country, 69
lakh 34 thousand tons of wheat stocks have been revealed in Pasco and
provinces.
The ministry has said in its declaration that Pasco has reported
1780 thousand tons, Punjab 4021 thousand tons, Sindh 817 thousand tons, Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa 227 thousand tons and Balochistan has reported 89 thousand tons of
stock for the country's needs till May 2022. Enough.
While the new crop starts coming to the market at the end of
March. With the confidence of the federal government, the department has
started importing wheat.
Till now, more than 7 lakh tons of wheat has arrived in the country
while 12 million tons of wheat will be imported.
According to the announcement, the prices of wheat, which were
at Rs 4800 per maund a month ago, are being reduced to Rs 4400 to 4300 per
maund.
There is scope for further increase in wheat price which will
reduce the hardships of the common man and also improve his purchasing power.
