Defeated New Zealand, Pakistan created a new history
Pakistan's historic and big win, defeating New Zealand by 21 runs.
According to the details, the rain continued intermittently in
Banguru due to which the match could not be completed. Pakistan was declared
the winner under the DLS rule.
Fakhar Zaman scored 126 runs including 11 sixes and 8 fours.
Babar Azam scored 66 runs including 6 fours and 2 sixes.
After this win, Pakistan's chances of reaching the semi-finals
have become brighter.
Earlier, New Zealand scored 401 runs for the loss of six wickets
in the allotted fifty overs and gave Pakistan a target of 402 runs.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to field first in the crucial
match against New Zealand.
New Zealand scored 66 for no loss in 10 overs but Hasan Ali
dismissed Devon Convoy for 68, scoring 35 runs.
New Zealand's second wicket fell on 248 runs, Kane Williamson
was dismissed for 95 runs off 78 balls, Fakhar Zaman caught him off the ball of
Iftikhar Ahmed.
With the third wicket falling on 261, Ravindra scored 108 runs
and was caught out by Saud Shakeel off Mohammad Wasim.
When New Zealand's total score reached 318, Daryl Mitchell
scored 29 runs and was dismissed by Haris Rauf.
With the score of 345, New Zealand's fifth wicket fell, Mark
Chapp scored 39 runs and was dismissed by Mohammad Wasim.
New Zealand's sixth wicket total of 388 fell, Glenn Phillips
scored 41 runs and was bowled by Mohammad Wasim.
New Zealand scored 401 runs for the loss of six wickets in the
allotted fifty overs. Thus giving Pakistan a target of 402 runs to win the
match.
On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim Jr got 3 wickets while
Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed got one wicket each.
Making a change in the Pakistan team, Osama Mir was replaced by
Hasan Ali in the team.
