Commission has released the details of the polling stations regarding the
general elections.
The Election Commission is preparing for the general elections
and in this regard, the Election Commission has released the details of normal,
sensitive and highly sensitive polling stations.
According to the documents, a total of 91 thousand 809 polling
stations will be established across the country. The number of normal
polling stations will be 41 thousand 890 and the number of sensitive polling
stations will be 32 thousand 508 while the number of highly sensitive polling
stations will be 17 thousand 411.
15 thousand 829 sensitive and 6 thousand 599 highly sensitive
polling stations have been declared in Punjab. In Sindh, 8 thousand 30
polling stations will be sensitive and 4 thousand 430 will be highly sensitive.
In Balochistan, 2 thousand 68 polling stations have been
declared sensitive and 2 thousand 38 highly sensitive, while in Khyber
Pakhtunkhwa, 6 thousand 582 polling stations have been declared sensitive and 4
thousand 344 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive.
It should be noted that the Election Commission of Pakistan has
started considering holding the general elections on January 28, 2024 and preparations
are underway in this regard.
